    Hey,
How much hotter do you guys think a 4870 would run than a 4650? From my experience the 4650 idles at around 50C but I was curious how much hotter the 4850 / 4870 's were.

A decent amount hotter, just look at 4670 desktop vs 4850 desktop coolers.

Looking for an estimated difference between the cards listed. I'll take any ball-park range best guess.

Your asking me for an estimate on how long a piece of string is after telling you I dont know how long it is.

Seriously it depends on the cooling, some coolers work up to a point and then any heat beyond that temps sky rocket so there is no way of knowing.

But it will use anywhere from 50% to 100% more power most likely. So at your current temps it might end badly.

But without giving ANY details like what model of notebook you have it's all just guess work.
