When ever i go on battle net with my mac, i often experience perfect gameplay and then lagspikes where it says (waiting for host) but really it's me lagging. I've played with many different hosts and i still have the lag spikes so it is the mac. Is there a way to fix this??

    I'm going to suggest the obvious solution here . . . .

    1. Save your work in any open applications.
    2. Press ^⌘⏏
    3. Hold ⌥
    4. Press →
    5. Press ⏎
    6. Play WC3 from here as you would normally.

First off, taelrak. I had trouble following what you were telling me to do. Second, it's a MacBook Pro. Fairly new to. I tried to reinstall wc3 TFT like a billion times and that didn't help either. I dont think the problem is that the graphics are up to high or something because it's not that type of lag. It only lags on the internet...when ever im playing on lan, it is not a problem. I'll be fine the first couple minutes of the game and then it lags for like 20 seconds every 5-10 or so. It just says "waiting for host" when ever it lags meaning it's not the host if that makes sense >.<. Help me!!!

Hmm....I run TFT on a MBP although I do it through Vista.

I have a friend with a problem identical to yours. It seems like it might be your internet connection or something. Are you running from behind a router?

If so, you could try forwarding the ports WC3 uses for gaming... it is somewhat possible that your router is causing the issue.

    Post back with results.

i went to a friends house to play my mbp using his internet. I played a couple games and got no lag. It seems as though i'm getting most of the lag from playing with a specific friend of mine because i only had the lag issues when playing with him when he hosted. Same at my house although i've lagged a couple other times in other games. How is it possible that i lag when he hosts but none of my other friends in the game do? Bad mac coding for wc3?? I did forward the ports from 6112 - 6119 on my router and i still lagged when playing with this friend >.<
