I love the show Lost. It has a very deep plot and lots of well developed characters. I haven't tried the game 'Lost: Via Domus' yet, but I know it kinda sucks.
That being said, don't you think that a game based on Lost using an engine like 'Oblivion' would be kind of cool? Kind of like an RPG, except you take the role of one of the many survivors of Oceanic flight 815, and get to play the role of any one of them, so that you could replay it a dozen times through the eyes of one of the other survivors?
Of course getting a quest to key in numbers in a computer every 108 minutes (4 8 15 16 23 42) would be kind of dull, but you get my point (I hope).

Lost and oblivion: no.. lost and crysis: hmm

I think it would be an interesting game. But it would be hard ot make in interesting. I mean it would be hard to make a Lost game interesting becuase you'd have to exclude a lot of what the show has. You can't really put stuff in there that would cut out the TV audience.
But I dunno... Lost is awesome though! -
I am a huge Lost fan as well. I bought Via Domus - it was entertaining for about 5 or 6 hours (very short). It definitely won't win any awards or anything, but I would recommend it for hard core Lost fans.
Just have low expectations, and you'll probably enjoy it.
But I agree that it would be awesome if they made a more in-depth Lost RPG. -
Honestly though, I think doing a Myst style game would be much better than an RPG though. I really don't feel Lost as a RPG. -
Myst! Blech!
"Bring me the Blue Pages!"
"Bring me the Red Pages!"
Forget that crap, just bring me the manifest!

But an even better idea... make it along the lines of Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy. The gameplay in that was so original and epic... really draws you in.
Making a Game Based on 'Lost' Like 'Oblivion'?
