In the Nvdia control pannel, there is a feature which allows you to create custom resolution. The problem is that i have no idea on how to use this feature. My monitor is a 15.4 inch monitor with a native resolution of 1280 X 800 and have max colour quality of 32 bit.

Look under "Manage custom resolutions", click on the create button. Horizontal for you would be 1280 max and Vertical 800. 32 refers to colour depth of 32-bit while refresh rate should say 60. Work out your custom resolutions from there.

Well.... you don't need to set a custom resolution.......

If you have a normal resolution like that, windows will manage that for you.

    Where as if you had
2826x933 -then you'd have to manage the resolution your self

I could do with someone giving me some suggestions on solving the problem and not always dissuading me.

Do you want to explain what you are trying to do with the custom resolutions?

get a bigger resolution. If u didn't know 1280X800 isn't that good when playing games.

If your screen is a 1280x800, thats the best resolution you can use.

and its not too bad, my 1280x800 m1330 was fine for gaming actually :p

Granted, i prefur the screen in my Gateway :)

You can never have a resolution larger than your LCD's native resolution, because that's how many pixels are physically in the display. If your display is 1280x800, that's as high resolution as you're going to get. You can set custom resolutions, but you can only make them less than 1280x800.

Not so useless if the new driver they provided somehow forgot to list 1280 16:10 widescreen as a supported resolution, although in your case it probably is since you have little need of lower resolutions.
