A LOT of grinding, most items are overpriced by players, and the game wont really start until level 100 or so; when you get invited to parties. And even at 100 you wont be accepted into larger boss parties.

My opinion is that I am addicted to the game just like I am addicted to World of Warcraft cause the moment I listen to a song of the game I go back to it and I've been playing it for.. 6-8 years? But I also like grinding, the music of the game, the places and it's style so that's what makes me still play the game after 6-8 years. :D

It sucks! Time wasting! Money Wasting!
Don't have any good features like other MMORPGs did.
However, MapleStory Monster and Character Designs are great.

Maple Story and WoW have the same point, grind grind grind until you max out. Then end game of just grinding for gear.

I have played MS and WoW and quit both just because I saw no point in wasting all that time.

100% agreed with you. You can say all MMORPGs are wasting time virtually/ideally. No time play = No leveling
No Money(real money) = No Godlike Weapons
Not like non-MMORPG. No time play = Skill maybe sucks but if you have play for a long time, your skill won't be sucks even you are busy(no time to play for a long time).
No Money(real money) = Still the same.

I played Maple Story back when I was in middle school. It was fun for a while, but then when it started taking too long to level up, it became boring and very very very repetitive.

I like it, but I get really bored when I get to level 35 so I end up deleting the character and creating a new one.lol. I know waste of time. But I kinda stopped that and now have a level 50sin and level 40something thunder breaker I haven't played in like a month though since it takes me too long to level and I really don't like doing pq's and bought a couple games for 360 so I been busy on other games. I don't know if im gonna play again though

i played MS, was part of the bellocan community.
the game itself was not that bad, i got to lvl 122 and 121 on 2 character and accumulated over 3 billion mesos (in game currency) but i gave all that up. because the people who play it make it bad.......

    Hacking MapleStory is the BEST!
Wasting time running around and training around like a fool without HACK is pain.
I play without HACK and quit because it is time+money wasting and all I gain was nothing except panda eyes.

    3billions mesos mean 3000 000 000 mesos.
It is possible for high level characters.
I have a different opinion too.
@Cash will be another way to get this amount of mesos.
    Marketing/Business strategies.
Last time, I played MapleStory but I don't have mesos.
I started the Business by 400 000 mesos. Level 40 only. LOL.
I bought some good scrolls about 50 000 mesos each which each of them actually can sell to the market about 1000 000 to 4000 000 mesos. Many players got cheated LOL. Not cheated they're willing to sell me LOL.
In order to sell them fast and effectively, I sold them slightly cheaper than usual. For example:
If the scroll worth 3000 000 mesos, I price it 2600 000 mesos. Many players will get attracted and straight away buy it. Sometime I will use negotiable method too.
After sometime, I got 100 000 000 mesos. Good? From 400 000 mesos to 100 000 000 mesos without any @Cash or high level character.
So, I guess 3billions mesos are very possible with @Cash + Business Strategies + High Level.

there is nothing to do after reaching the final advancement which is at lvl 120.
i am not the type of person that likes to grind. so after reaching lvl 121 and 122 i just stopped and started scrolling for equips and merchanting.

Played it for a few years :/ It's really boring grinding and everything... It's fun when you're high enough level and have lots of friends to hang out with though...

And even at lvl137 I still almost never get invited into boss fights o.o Apparently the new cut-off point for bossing is around 150s

15 hours of grinding with little result is what pushed me away from the game. i don't mind grinding (like in EQ) but the graphics offered little to make you feel immersed into the world (for me). that's the thing with most korean mmo's like MS and ragnarok. wish the graphics were more like baldur's gate.

^ I've noticed that Asian players are more into grinding than any other type of activity in their MMO and I also like grinding cause I like to hit and loot so I can see why you all hate MapleStory - Grinding.

grinding isnt about race or background, its about morals and self respect. do you want to be known as the guy who spent 40 hours trying to get a non combat pet?

Do you have any other explanation for why the MMO made in korea and china are filled with grinding while the ones made in the west are not?

That is how I explained it in my opinion and like I said (No racism intensions), if you hadn't read it.

And I don't care how I will be known in what I have done in a game cause I'm playing the game to have fun not for people to know what I have achieved in the game or what I have done in such time to get such and such.

All I had given you was my opinion "I've noticed" and I didn't mean every Asian one including you cause it would depend on the player but what I could see is what I have confessed and that most of the games in Far-East and South-East have lots of grinding and there's nothing wrong with being Asian and there's nothing lame with grinding cause there are people that like it.

Thank you for reading my post and please be my friend.
