    Hey guys!
Just leting everyone know that a Russian shop has the Mass Effect 3 Digital Deluxe Edition and the normal edition on sale really cheap for a short time.

    Mass Effect 3 Regular Edition 500 RUB=~$ 15
    Mass Effect 3 Digital Deluxe Edition 750 RUB=~ $23

    A Reminder:
The promotion ends tomorrow, so grab the game while you can! (edited: 2012-07-29)

    FAQ

Is there Region lock on Origin for this item?
No, there is no region lock for this item, everyone can activate it. I activated it in the EU.

Is the game in Russian only or international?
This title is in Russian only. At least half of it, the audio is in English, but the text is Russian. However, there are several methods to change the game's language to 100% English.

    When will the sale end?
The sale ends on July 30.

For more detailed FAQ, please visit the " Battlefield 3 @ $9 ONLY!" topic.

I have tested the Digital Deluxe Edition and it works perfectly. Even tested the multiplayer and only con I can say is that I s*ck at it, stupid geth killed me in a minute after joining a game :( (all servers are global, there are no region based servers like at Starcraft II)

The multiplayer is fantastic, though after playing it for a while the campaign seems pretty easy by comparison. To get started, (1) make sure you're in a bronze challenge, not silver or gold, (2) stay with your teammates (particularly if you're at level 1), and (3) consider playing as support class (such as engineer) and getting experience through assists until you're able to level up and buy some better gear.

As for gear, start off with the $5000 gear packs until the starter weapon in each category is at or near level 10, then start buying the $60,000 packs (it should take four successful bronze challenges, or roughly one hour of play, for each $60,000 pack). The $20,000 packs don't have as good of a cost/benefit ratio as the $20,000 ones, and the $99,000 packs don't give you enough disposable items like medpacks in my opinion.

I did go in bronze, but it was my first game so I was a bit surprised when I was put in Wave 4, right in the middle of a firefight :)

Excellent game, definitely worth $15. But please, for the love of all that is holy, PLAY THE OTHER 2 FIRST! And download the extended cut before you even think about beating the game, otherwise you'll be left going doubleyou tee eff just happened?

Anyone know how to edit things in the save file before importing into 3? Want Ashley as interest but game loads first playthrough when I ended up with the blue chick even though I played a second time with Ashley before importing that save into 2 ...

Why the hate? It can't be that bad... :)

Anyone who has problem with the Russian language can try to contact EA on the Live chat support (Origin client must be in English US) and ask them to change the game language from Russian to English. If you are lucky and if you get a kind support assistant, than he WILL change the language. (However there are support assistants who will not help and only suggest to contact the shop and there are some who don't even know that they can change the language).

I know people who got the Mass Effect 3 I linked changed to English by Origin Live chat support assistant.

    Good luck.

If someone has dropped out of a game, they'll drop a new player right into the middle of that game to keep the squad at four people. Otherwise, they'll drop you into a team of four people getting ready to launch together (press space to "ready up" after equipping any special gear you'll use for the mission).

Bought me a Russian copy of the Deluxe a while ago. Using Russian keys with Origin is 9999999999999999999999999999999999999x easier than Steam is.

Agree. ME2 was a peach. ME3 not so much. MP had nothing to do with the story. Ending was a bit thin. They kinda ruinned it like they did with Starwars. Now all that is left is to have a ME4 MMOTPS.

    I loved ME2 so much.

wow really, pretty harsh comments. I loved ME2, so I will take your words for it, not going to waste money on ME3. Frankly I really dont like all the RPG games trying to be more like FPS or 3rd person shooters...

You should get the story done, but after such a good ME2, you might feel a bit sad with ME3. I am still waiting for some DLC, but I guess everything goes to MP now. I don't mind the MP part that much, but losing in SP for MP development is not right at all since this was a damn good story.

I don't want to put any spoilers in here, they could have done the best game to date or maybe ever. And they missed it. They even said that players were wrong in their interpretation. If you do the game without research, after that give me a PM. I'll tell you a story. I am more of a SF fan, love new ideas and interesting facts.

If you want some nice FPS with a beautiful story, but underrated, try Binary Domain. I just loved it, so unexpected, yet so nicely done. There is room for a follow up, but giving the sale numbers, I guess it's unlikely.

Is this just for the CD key? That's not too bad a price. I dealt with a Russian shop when I was buying the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky collector's editions. Russian law prohibits export of software to the US and Canada, had to get my in-laws to buy them and my wife to pick them up when she visited home. Was a long wait, but worth it.

Awesome deal, of course I've had my own deal with EA before...

I don't know if anyone remembers, but for a while EA had a deal in which if you pre-ordered ME 3, you would receive a copy of BF3 on Origin FOR FREE. I guess they were expecting most gamers to have BF 3, but the deal was supposed to last a month or something, instead it lasted about 3 days lol. Guess there was an influx and they realized they were losing potential money fast.

Even though I had bought the deal during the few days it was available, it still took quite a bit of self-advocating on my part to receive my copy

Just felt like shining some perspective on EA :)
    Too bad I love battlefield.

Mass Effect has been a shooter from the beginning, and the combat was a big part of ME2. It's a little more refined in ME3, but honestly, if you didn't like shooter RPGs, you never would have made it through ME2.

ME3 wasn't as good as ME2, but it wasn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Character development was inferior, but the sense of scale and drama was superior to ME2. It does a worse job of telling a story about people in an intergalactic war, but does a better job of telling a story about civilizations in an intergalactic war. ME2 made you care about Tali and Legion; ME3 makes you care about the Quarians and the Geth. Etc.

The ending was a let-down, but that's one hour out of twenty. Enjoy the story as it's being told instead of waiting for the ending, and the campaign will be rewarding. The campaign missions in ME3 except for the finale are quite good.

And ME3 has multiplayer co-op, which is a ton of fun. ME2 didn't offer nearly as much replayability because it was single-player-campaign-only.

I have redone ME2 quite a few times to get different scenarios and combos. It also had quite a few nice DLCs. You have at least 4 romance options or none if you desire and other stuff, I do not want to spoil it for those who will play it now.

...aaaaaand you have multiple romance options in ME3 as well. Your actions can change the entire course of galactic wars. So ME3 offers all of that sort of replayability PLUS the replayability of multiplayer. Hence, ME3 is more replayable than ME2.

In SP not so much since I know I'll hit the end at some point :D

MP had nothing to do with the story. It's should have been at best a bonus for people that like this stuff, not the main attraction.

But in ME2 I want to reach the end over and over again. It's just more fun.

I know about romance in ME3, I did some starting from ME1, so I did the entire series just to see how the story goes. I has no romance in ME1, I had both girls. I might even do a female Shepard this time around. I plan to do them again IF a decent DLC will be out for ME3.

Ah, about replayable, in ME1 you have to do it like 3 times just to hit the max level :)

    hi,

thanks for the reply, to clarify, I loved ME2 story, I know the "shooter" combat mechanic is part of the engine, and there's nothing I can do about that. I guess my original comment was about what people said about the story (mostly about the ending?) for ME3 that was a disappointment. But as someone suggested earlier, if I played through ME1 and ME2, I should finish ME3 to have a sense of closure... I found someone that was willing to trade his extra license key with a steam game key that I got during the summer sale, so I am going to complete the trilogy.

I think they should have made it two games. One SP with the story behind it and one MP platform for those that just want to kill aliens :D

As it is now, we have to take turn. It's hard to please everyone.

I bought every single piece of DLC for ME2 (except for the new-clothing packs), but I think I might pass on this one, at least for a while to see if other SP DLC surfaces as well.

Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker were so good they were better than most of the original ME2 campaign missions. It'll be interesting to see if Leviathan lives up to those high standards.
