    Anyone know what copy protection Mass Effect will be using? Hopefully just CD-key because I really don't want to have to keep the DVD in my laptops drive to play.

    Maybe I'll just have to do a Direct2Drive purchase, but would rather have a boxed copy.

    don't we need disc-in-drive since long time ago?

    Not all games require "disc-in-drive". I tend to use no CD/DVD-cracks. Hopefully one will be released quickly.
