Its only been installed on two machines, and only once was I unable to uninstall before a format, so thats only 3 active installs....After my last installation all was well, now a week or so later i get an error saying I have too many activation and it wont start.........VERY frustrating... Wish I could have bought this on steam...

I wonder if my recent chanhe to a GTX 260 had something to do with it? It worked fine when I reinstalled with my 4870, only had this problem after I changed cards.

Could have been the hardware change. I think companies are shooting themselves in to foot with these tight DRMs. Even when I buy games, half the time I end up using a crack anyway so I don't have to deal with the stupid DRM. How much longer am I going to want to buy games like this?

 After searching around I found that uninstall DO not give activations back, and hardware changes can cancel an activation....this is pure BS....

If i dont respond on the phone it repeats the message several times, then says goodbye and hangs up.

I emailed them about 3 hours ago.

Its hard to be paitent when you pay good money for a game that you cant play.

thats ****ty, give em a call, the fact that a HW change could effect that kinda scares me, how much do they know?

i say crack it though, you bought the game, and you want to [play it, i see no problem with that.

That's why I refuse to buy any PC games with intrusive and excessive DRM. I bought Flight Sim X Deluxe the day it came out and I applied the crack the same day. I have not activated the product and never will.

All my PC games I have purchased are the same way. I wanted to buy Mass Effect but was scared off by he DRM. Your best option is to go to the official website, create an account and submit a formal complaint.

Calling is useless, I get to curse at a very crappy voice activated automaton, and in the end its just tells me a rep cant help me with that problem and to E-mail them. I spose they are tired of dealing with the mess they created too. It doesnt even give me an option to talk to a person, and if I ask, its like I'm speaking a foreign launguage.

Ice, I suggest you create a topic neatly articulating your activation troubles on the official Bioware Mass Effect message board.

Be sure to include all relevant computer information; if possible, take screenshot of any and all germane error messages.

By the way, refrain from the use of harsh and profane language in the initial message.

    All the best--.
