Gamespot had a similar new article, it seems they're reworking the entire game HUD which is time consuming and the main reason behind the delay.

hopefully they'll fix some of the dodgy AI on it too, people get stuck on walls and pillars all the time, your allies wander off at random times and simpley become unresponsive etc..

tbh i really didn't think much of the 360 version.

I am waiting for it on the PC too. I have the XBOX version, but just haven't had the time to play, plus our TV is consumed by cartoons with the baby so I guess he takes precendece!

One thing I don't like is that you can't save anywhere, and can't exit at any time either. Hope they change that on PC because I have to exit for extended periods form time to time.

Seems like an awesome game and quite involved.

As long as the delays are put to good use I dont mind them, when I get angry is when a game (The Witcher anyone?) gets released in a pre alpha state, and they wait for it to get fairly popular before decideding to finish the game.....Dont get me wrong, I'm glad they are fixing it, and I'm excited about being able to play through it again without all the headaches and the added features, but honestly, the "enhanced" edition should have been the initial release.

I thought the 360 version was amazing as it was (beat it 4 times :D ). Granted, it did have some problems that are being addressed in this game - but all games have things that could be improved. The mako controls was the only thing that really bugged me, otherwise I thought it was one of the best RPGs I've played and can't wait for the sequel.

And htwingnut, the save system isn't that bad. You just can't save when your in a battle or when there's enemies in radar range usually.

There was nothing really wrong with the Witcher during release other than load times. All they are doing in the new version is making it better, but not adding anything game breaking other than load times/stability issues (although i never ran into the crashing problems others had). Seriously I could deal with the lack of diversity in the third party characters because they had amazing character models overall, I already thought the dialogue/voice acting was fantastic, and there was already numerous side-quests so I can live without trying the new ones.
