    Yeah but if you've played it on Xbox you would understand where all that space is going
    such a huge game with AWESOME graphics

    lol my laptop probably eats the recommended ATI X1800 XL for breakfast. I feel bad for people stuck with the 8400M GS and below that wanna game.

    Why is conan 30gb? I dont understand where all that data is going. I mean that graphics arent "that" spectacular.

    Personally I think it's due to poor code optimization. But my theory was squashed from the folks on the AoC forums. Apparantly the AoC is a huge install due it being all written in 32-bit code. By comparison, WoW is 8-bit and requires a mere 10GB of HDD space.

    When the game ships it will be on 2 DVDs. The current PvP beta client download is almost 7GB and occupies 26GB of HDD space uncompressed.

    I'll have to admit tho', for an MMO the visuals look stunning.

    MMOs always are big. If they voiced everything & used MP3s... just imagine...
    They might also have decided to not compressed anything in the installation folder to save on the loading times.

    Since I didn't get Mass Effect when it came out for 360 ( Got Creed and COD4 instead), It looks like I'll get it for PC then, as long as it runs a little better than it did on the 360 :)

    It really does take that much hard drive space. A guy who's in the beta posted a screen shot of his folder tree in Explorer in a related thread. Previous build of the client a couple of weeks ago was 40GB= 35GB main & 5GB patch!

    30 GB?! O_O, I sure hope the installer is fast, if it is anything like the Gears of War install.....I will probably have to leave it over night..
