I have Mass Effect on Steam. For some reason every time I start Mass Effect it reverts to all the default settings, and when I push resume, it always resumes my old career when my new career the has the most recent save.

Dunno about the first problem, but Mass Effect stores its save and config files in C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Save. You could remove your old career save files and put them elsewhere to prevent the game from loading those.

You know, I played the original Mass Efffect the other day after not touching it for a couple weeks, and all my settings were reverted to default as well. My save game, however, was right where it should have been.
