Since I'm not sure where else to post, my laptop has had problems running mass effect. The install is fine, but there is problems with launch. I believe its supposed to be problems with the realtek audio drivers? But i tried some of the fixes, and none of them have seemed to work. Im running a sager np8662, with all of the default sager provided drivers. Has anyone else gotten this to work?

Sorry for posting here, I figure i'd get responces from people who use realtek audio drivers and not just sager.

Can you be a little more specific about what happens when you try to launch it? I can run ME fine using Realtek audio drivers. Have you tried uninstalling them and using the (I presume you're using Vista or Win7) Microsoft HD Audio Drivers?

I'm assuming you have a stand-alone copy of ME and are not running it from Steam, correct?

Yeah stand alone. From the research i tried to do a few months ago, it seemed like it was a really common occuring problem, so i figured i'd leave it and come back to it later :p Guess i was mistaken

    What's happening now?

I have the boxed copy and Steam version, and it launches fine on my comp (we have the same machine).

Ill post that tomarrow, can't install it atm. It was my mistake to post it withouht having it installed, like i said before, i thought this was a real big problem.

Also, my os is xp, not 7, if that makes any difference.
