Hi. I just got ME and installed it on my lappy(see sig), and, to my surprise, it's playable(barely). The problem is that i have a strange pixelation effect especially around light sources and objects in the background. here's a screenshot:

I know that its set to the lowest possible graphic level, but that happens regardless of the settings and resolution, so that's not it. Has anyone else experienced it? The drivers i'm using are mobile catalyst 8.5. Also, is there a way to make the game run at 848x480?

    Thanks in advance.

Turn off depth of field in the .ini files. If you don't know how to do that, read the UT3 tweaks guide and tweakguides.com

You know, now that I think about it, I get the same pixel effect on Rita's dress in the chestal region. :D

I didn't really pay much attention to diagnosing a problem.

I read the game's readme file and it says this is a known issue on radeon x1650s and x1950s and it will be solved with the 8.6 catalyst. Guess i'll wait. I have to anyway since only the autosave works(i'm at the citadel).

That's one heck of a crack, able to change game graphics on that scale!

The only people not able to save after reaching the Citadel are people who used the crack (It got rushed to release due to high demand I think). The pixellation issue appears unrelated.

There's a new crack out that fixes the saved game issue, but not the galaxy map. Some people who bought the retail version and used the original cracks had been unable, even after a clean install, to get things working again, so this is good news for them.
