When I play Mass Effect, I tend to get random but small black boxes on the characters when I play the game and it tends to increase over time. I thought maybe my laptop was overheating, but it's not that and I also have good solid up-to-date drivers so I can rule that out as well.
I also get these random black boses when I play Bioshock with High Detail Post Processing enabled. Disabling that option also removes this black box problem and I don't experience any other graphical artifacts in any game that I play even on extended play.
My question is: Are any of you out there experiencing a similar problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Does this happen when you OC or does it happen w/o OC and on default gpu control panel settings? If you tweaked around with any of the graphical settings you might try to turn them back to default. Also I assume SLI is enabled on your Nvidia control panel?

I don't overclock at all. Everything is set by default, SLI enabled. My nvidia default setting is set to "Quality".
I'll try disabling SLI and see how it is.. but I believe it's a problem related to the UT3 engine and how it does post processing. There is no option to disable that feature in Mass Effect though.
Any nvidia go 7 series users out there playing Mass Effect? -
Make sure AA is off...other than that try disabling all of your graphical settings in the game and see if one of them is the cause. I think someone else had this same issue, and it was a single graphical effect. They may have needed to mod the .ini to disable this particular effect that causes the boxes. Wish I could tell you what it was, but I don't remember.

i used to have this problem with Bioshock in the Cutscenes only and not gameplay, i Forced Vsync off Using Nhancer and no Blackbox thing, i know it sounds hard to believe but give it a try, anyways, i can confirm it isnt anything about overheating , when i had this prob i double checked my temps and they were always low. and it only happened with Bioshock and mass effect though, if it was about heating, then they would appear in Crysis

Brainer, I'm going to let you figure this one out when you get the game. It's too complicated for me! ><

I actually had it 2 days ago ( yeah i know it was supposed to arrive in July). just Force Vsync off Through Nhancer and you are good to go.

I tried to that through nhancer.. I went into the game ans sure enough, the black boxes started to reapear after about 10 minutes.

its definatly not your Laptop. try changing the Postproccesing mode to something else
