So I see there are two "upgrade" patches, which one do I need for DX11? There's s 1.66GB one and a ~500MB one.

So now not only can I NOT play multiplayer, but after installing the DX11 patch and ultra textures my game will no longer run in full screen mode, black bars around all 4 sides of the screen, even after a reinstall.
Im so fed up with crytek that im going to pirate their next game, not even install or play it, and send it to them with a big [ <^> (00) <^> ] attached to it.
They are a different company than the ones who released Far Cry 1 and Crysis 1Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -

K just broke down and brought the game. Got it up and running with the Dx11 and high resolution package install. At 900p, running at ultra with Dx11 and high resolution enable I got around 23-31fps which was kinda choppy. So I drop it down to extreme with both Dx11 and high resolution enable, I got an average of 37-45fps outside and 45-55fps inside. With big fire fight it drop down to around 28-30fps. I'm running all this with my 6970m overclocked to 750/950. From extreme and ultra I can't really see the differences.

While my M17xR1 can't do the dx11 upgrade, I can, however; run the ultra textures, and a few other settings at ultra, with the rest at extreme, and get a pretty damn good gaming experience. Seriously one pretty looking game now. I wish there was a bit more on the "sandbox" style going on, instead of just the tiny little areas of sandbox.
I guess when I buy my M18X, this Xmas, I'll be able to revisit this, with every single bell-n-whistle cranked up.
I'd just like to know if there is ever going to be sli support for this game? I had thought that the tool that wasdie came up with ( http://wasdie.blogspot.com/), which has a multi gpu option, was actually making the sli work. NOT!!! Just happened to feel behind my laptop while playing Crysis 2, and my card on the left was warm, one of the right was cool. Ran the Nvidia option to show if sli is running...nope!!!
That's what needs to come out next....sli support for this game.
Massive Crysis 2 patch due soon - will add DX11 support & more
