Can it oc to 800/1600/3000
please i really need to know then i might purchase a laptop with gtx 460m and save some bucks

3000??? omg you're kidding? A friend of mine has an Asus G73 with the 460m and runs it stable at 800/1350/1600 for gaming. You may be able to push it little more, but the numbers you wrote down are not realistic. How did you get these numbers btw?

Yes it can, but there is no guarantee that yours will. Each card is not exactly the same and each card can have different limitations. Ex. My 460m hits a wall a 800/1600/1500 @ stock voltages but another user on the site has his stable @ 825/1625/1500 i belive. While some users may not be able to go much further than stock clocks.
When it comes to GPU's I always recommend buying what will play what you want to play at the settings you want to play. Then if it can be OC'd, great you wont need to upgrade as soon as you expected, if not then you didn't win or lose. -
3000 is for 1500 dual pumped
so basically whats the general max oc i find the qosmio x500 very lucrative at that price can the qosmio gtx 460m oc able? -
I did 835/ 1360/ 1550 without a problem...

Does this laptop have a good cooling system?
Btw, toshiba had a couple of systems in the past which started to throttle under load... I don't know about this one but better make sure it doesn't otherwise the OC won't work. -
I think by saying 3000 you mean 750 as displayed by GPUZ, right? That's actually a very safe oc, if you can trust the offcial softwares like nvidia system tools which has a max allowance for memory oc at 750(or 1500, or 3000, it's all the same thing considering that GDDR5's effective working clock is always GPUZ's displayed clock*4).
800/1600/3000 should be safe as my experience suggests. Now I am using a self-modified bios @815-1630-1665(or 3330 by your standard) which works just fine and stable after I tested it with all the possible meanest ways to test a card. By the way if you want your oc to work in actual gaming, you can check the clock by running 3dmark tests, furmark tests, extremely pervasively 3d-demanding games like Just Cause 2, Crysis, etc.
Though, each and every card has its unique limit depending on how healthy the PCB, the bus, and the material are. So, even there are guys tempting me to try higher clocks at 833-1666-3600, I would like to be conservative. A smart clock is always a clock slightly lower than "highest possible clock"
Hope it helps! -
Have this lappy and think it has a good coolingsystem. Have played several hours of crysis,JC2 and other demandig games withouth no problem
Max Oc Speed of Gtx 460m at stock voltage?
