I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron E1705, I did the reformatting guide and this think is really amazing. I would like to know more about what kind of settings I can put for my system. Here are my specs:

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T7200 (4MB Cache/2.00GHz/667MHz FSB) :D (glad I waited for this)
17 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife™
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 988MHz
    120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive
    256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7900 GS

So far I turned up all the details like textures and models to their max, and I it seems the highest antialiasing I can turn it to is 4X. Everything seems to work perfectly.

    For Counter-strike/DOD: Source
Anistropic Filtering Mode is on 4x, can I turn it higher?
    Can I enable vertical sync?
Will performance suffer if I do these?

    For Battlefield 2
Will performance suffer if I turn draw distance all the way to 100%?
    And can I turn Anti-Aliasing to 4X?

I plan on buying games like Fear and Oblivion, and Battlefield 2021 and Rainbow Six Vegas when they come out. What kinds of settings should I put for these games, will I be able to push them to their max?

Don't worry. You should be able to play most games at Full. I remember when I was tested CSS and I got better fps when I had everything maxed out than at medium settings.
