Currently my laptop has a geforce go 7300 gpu and I'm thinking of upgrading to the x1400. I can get my core clock up to 453mhz and the memory clock to 891mhz. GPU temp rise pretty high (up to 82 degrees), but everything runs stable and there are no artifacts. Yes, I understand that's a bit high and insane for a laptop, but it's been running strong like this for over 2 years with no problems.

So my question is, what are the highest clock speeds you can get out of an x1400? From what I've read, it doesn't seem you can get the memory clock as high as I'm getting with the 7300 unless people were just too scared to max it out (which is obviously understandable).

No offense, but why don't you get a new laptop? The X1400 would soooooooooo underperform any current gen cards...

I'm fully aware of this. A new laptop would cost $800+ and an x1400 would cost $70. I'm not a hardcore gamer, I just want to be able to play some games at a slightly higher settings with decent fps. I will eventually build a desktop for hardcore gaming.

    In 3DMark05 the 7300 gets 1448 while the x1400 gets 2284.

You can't upgrade your laptop GPU... no X1400 was ever made on an MXM card.

But it was made for a proprietary removable card for some Dell systems, such as my old Inspiron 6400. I can verify they exist as I installed one myself in my Inspiron. Get your facts straight.

I wasn't really asking for anyone's opinion. I just want to know what the highest clock settings for this card are.

    Check HWbot for rankings.

    560/464MHz got 2378 3dmarks in 3dmark05.
