Got this problem see! trying to run Medal of Honor Airborne on my Sony Vaio laptop and once installed im getting a error message telling me my graphics card is not supported. Having looked into this a little im hearing talk of a Pixel Shader 3.0?? What is this and can it help me. If so how do i go about getting/installing/upgrading it.

you are trying to run this on a 945gm???? you have to be kidding me. that is not going to work.
you would want a 8400m to run it at minimum settings and at least an 8600 to run it at mid. i have a desktop 8800gt and can't run it on full. at high rez. -
You're trying to play a game on an IGP, which obviously will not work. IGPs completely lack the sort of power needed to run such a game. Even if you could get the game to run on your 945, you'd be playing at utterly miserable framerates, akin to that of a slideshow on Powerpoint.

right so, what do i do?
-
There are 2 steps to solve this problem
#1 You chuck your computer out the window
#2 Buy a new one. -
#1.5 Make sure you don't hit someone, you might get sued.
#3 ...
#4 Profit!!! -
All jokes aside, you can't do much. You're going to have to find a desktop with a capable GPU, or buy a new laptop with a better GPU.
And before you ask, no, you can't upgrade the GPU in your laptop. It's soldered on to the mainboard. -
would it be easy enough to install a good enough graphics card in to a AMD 2600?
-
You can't install a graphics card. You can't upgrade a graphics card. Crinzema wasn't joking. Those are your options.
1. Don't play the game.
2. Buy a new laptop/computer. -
Its only a working laptop. I was just hoping you guys may have some ideas on how to make my train journey into London abit more interesting!
Cheers for that. buying myself a new computer now...

I think you can play the allied assault fine. It is a nice old game.
-
considering that allied assault is 8 years old, he will run that fine.
