Medal of Honor: Warfighter
Release Date: October 23th for the States and October 25th for Europeans.
Danger Close, the studio behind the modern era Medal of Honor is slated to release the sequel next week on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
The game is powered by the Frostbite 2 engine rather than the odd blend of Unreal Engine 3 for the singleplayer and the Dice made multiplayer from the last time and before you even ask about it, yes it will use Battlelog just like Battlefield 3.
If you bought the Battlefield 3 Premium DLC pack you can get a 50% price reduction on Origin when buying the game!
I also took the liberty of reserving our Battlefield 3 platoon name as well.

Hmm, for $30 I guess it's worth it.

I'm going to have to wait for a price drop. I don't play online military shooters; I'm mainly just interested in the graphics and tech behind the game. It'll be a nice bonus if the campaign is actually decent though
-
Hopefully it will be. The last one had a pretty moving campaign, although awfully short.

if you want access to the Battlefield 4 beta then order by tomorrow as the small print says thats when the offer ends.
so what is everyone going for, the digital deluxe edition £49.99 or the limited edition £39.99
-
Limited. I didn't see a need to spend $10, well $5 more for digital deluxe because it only offered one extra gun up front and the soundtrack. Meh, who cares.
-
my sentiments exactly mate
downloading now. just wish i didnt have to buy through origin. much prefer steam.
just bought it and also blops 2.
next will be far cry 3 whenever its released and then crysis 3 next year.
by then cod mw4 will be on the horizon followed by battlefield 4 -
I'm still waiting for MW3 to drop dirt cheap so I can play the single player campaign. Have no interest in MP with that game.
-
crimbo steam sale then as i cant see it dropping before then. ive given up on buying the dlc's now as a waste of time.
-
The funny thing here in Norway was that the Limited Edition and the Digital Deluxe Edition was priced the same, so i went for the Digital Deluxe.
Really looking forward to the singleplayer myself, and if they got coop its gonna sweeten the deal so much. -
Quagmire LXIX Have Laptop, Will Travel!
EDIT: NVM Looks like MP is co-op, not sure if this is good or bad for me yet. -
6 missions with 2 player only but it ended up being just a grind to get the damn coop exclusive weapons. ;( -
Is here anyone playing this game on dual gpus? Seems like my second 680 does not work for this game. Though single GPU is enough for this, I'm still curious about you guys' situation
-
no idea as its not released in the UK yet
-
What are the graphics like on this game? Is it pushing our cards to max and does it have excellent eye candy? I am just use to dishonored and although a nice game some of the graphic textures are really average and want to know if this game is worth the $$ this time..
TIA -
Im just hoping they got a better singleplayer than BF3 with some coop. -
Awesome Nyancats, seems Medal of Honor: Warfighter got a ingame server browser, so take that Battlefield 3!

this game taxes the gpu more than bf3, and i think it looks better maxed out. Im playing single player right now and enjoying the hell out of it.
-
more taxing than B3 ouch. hurry up and release in da uk please
-
I picked up MW3 for $13. I have no interest in EA MP military games anymore, so I'll do the same for MOH, just wait for a huge price drop. Though fun did get the previous MOH for $0. -
How is everyone liking it? Is multiplayer as good as BF3? Trying to decide if I should jump on the half off deal or not.
-
No crappy hit detection like in BF3 either.

And regarding the classes, is there sniper/heavy/rifler/spec ops etc. within each specific nation, all following their own upgrade paths, or is it more like cod where there is universal upgrades that you can apply to any class/nation? And whats the shooting like - real recoil or more like cod?
And hows the 'buddy' system? TBH from the trailers/dev interviews it looks kinda lame - seems like they are encouraging you NOT to fight as a team but as a pair.
I played a couple of minutes of some single player gameplay at a console demo at a store. The door breach options look ok, although apart from the visuals I couldn't honestly see any difference between choosing one or another (e.g. kicking door vs using the tomahawk). All of them cause the same slow mo, would have been smarter to make just flash bangs etc cause slow-mo. IMO the Swat series and Tom Clancy Rainbow 6 series did this much better.
I also find it hilarious how they bill it to be excessively realistic, yet still allow you to have unlimited ammo on your pistol as well as top up ammo from friendlies with apparently no detrimental effects (like in the previous MoH). They really could have added a whole squad ammo management system (so you can't infinitely top up) and force you to conserve ammo with your starting weapons, so people wasting ammo might have to pick a gun off the ground.
From the little I played, graphics were great for console (and I assume a lot better on PC), frostbite always looks awesome. Gameplay seemed kinda generic though. For a game meant to be very accurate to real life Tier 1 operations I didn't see anything remotely realistic about the missions. Of course, its a game etc but then don't market it that way. The previous MoH had much better (in the sense of being real-to-life) missions, that honestly had me feeling it seems possibly accurate.
Probably wait for a price drop. -

Thinking about picking this up for 50% off. How does it run on the 680M?
-
Of course i played it on Ultra textures with everything else on high and it looked exacly the same. -

Hey guys. Thanks for all the feedback on this game. I pre-ordered it online last week and it was delivered to a family member's house yesterday. I will be picking it up tomorrow. Can anyone give me an idea on how this might run on my rig? Thanks. Also if anyone is doing multiplayer please post your Gamer Tag.

How do you quit multiplayer? I can't find a way to exit

Got to say, i'm not a fan of mp. I'll probably stick to SP. Luckily I only spent 30 dollars on it
-
so its suposedly released in the uk 9 hours ago at midnight and im stuck at work. oh what joy. another 7 hours to go
-
Personally i use a VPN to trick Origin into unlocking the game early and this time i went with Hong Kong. -
honest first opinion on MP, its totally crap. and to top it off im getting the same crash back to desktop as i do in B3
now time to try campaign. -
It took me a while to figure it out but I got it. Click on Lobby at the top left of the screen. Then click on "Back to Main Menu" underneath the " Recent Server" window. You now have the option to Quit. I hope this helps.
-
nah its not that, its the crap key binding that ive always had problems with in moh. you move and automatically crouch then it reloads when you dont want it to even though ive tried default settings and then mouse changes and keyboard changes. i cant even see me finishing the campaign.

Mine crashed until I updated my drivers (MS 16f3 w/ 680m) seems fine now.
Games starting to grow on me. Im just terrible at it -
as soon as i right mouse click it reloads and by then im killed. ive tried all sorts of settings. it could well be my G700 mouse thats the problem.
will give it a good go today though -

The reviews just came out. Gamespot gave 6.0. I guess its fair looking at. IGN gave 4.0.
-
campaign is ok,ish. best bit so far has to be the car chase through the city. i think that will be the only level i would ever play again. the rest of it is average.

God the critics are dumping on this game. I was really hoping it would be at least half way decent so I could give it a shot and drool over the graphics. Although I'd play a farming sim if they made it in Frostbite 2 lol. I just like the eye candy. Hopefully I can pick this up for 10 bucks eventually.
-
just finished the campaign and it was ok. the best bits were defo the two car chases which i will defo play again.
oh well back to the multi to give it one more try. -
because i want to buy it just for the multi
is it like the bf3?
thanks mate -
lots of camper snipers everywhere so yup, just like B3
the graphics are no were near as good or relistic as B3 more like cod multi. the maps are quite good but i keep getting shot to buggery and have no idea where they are firing from. the spawning is different and you are somehow paired up to a buddy so if you are spawning and then he gets shot the game then looks for someone else to spawn to so can take some time.
the multi is ok, but just that, ok. but others must like it as they are on levels 40+ and they must have been playing continuously to get that high up or there is some cheating going on with cracks already. -
-
i saw that it said i had 20 unused tokens but i have no idea how you claim them.
just had a couple more games. i have to load a whole magazine into someone to kill him but it sounds like one or two shots and im dead.
im still getting crashes back to desktop now and again and also had my first punkbuster has kicked you. the reason .... so can anyone explain what .... is
15 days until blops released and then this game will be a thing of the past. -
