What about single player? Graphics still aren't as good as BF3?

 

Which is kind of funny because the IGN review was basically like "it's call of duty" but they gave mw3 a 9.

 

i will try and do a couple of videos of each game tonight. will only be 20-30 second clips as im using the free fraps.

 

cool, thanks man. Personal opinion would be nice too, because it's hard for me to make a real judgement based of youtube videos, even if they're in hd. The game looks nice, but I can't really tell how it would look when actually playing it.

Such a shame to hear so many people ragging on this game though. Frostbite is such an awesome engine; I want some really great games based on it to come out. The bad reviews do seem a little ridiculous though, because the game sounds similar to BF and COD, which reviewers have been giving 9s to for years lol.

 

if there was more car chases then i would be raving about this game. they are the best car chases in any game ive ever played. just to add this is on a fps game. ive never played any of the need for speed or any other racing games.

uploading the videos could take some time as the 20-30 second clips i did do was about 800mb and then i had to cut them down a lot to under 100mb which will defeit the object as you are after quality so bear with me.

 

Recorded a video off the first mission as well, 1920x1080 at Ultra preset with no AA, 16x AF and Motion Blur set to Low.
The best missions in this game for me was of course the driving parts as well as the maps with rain and weather effects.

Il upload the video to my YouTube as well as my DropBox account so you all can view it without the quality slaughter that YouTube does when it encodes it after upload.

jeez im having problems. ive done quite a few clips of single and multi but each 30 second video is about 1.5gb in size. ive got fraps set to full screen and 30fps ticked but the are just way too big to upload. i will capture them again at half size but then of course you wont get the full detail of the graphics.

almost an hour for each 30 second clip and thats at half screen size. will post up when done.

damn man the game looks really nice. thanks guys for taking all the time to upload them; they're great quality, especially for youtube standards. I really want to have a go at the campaign just for how pretty everything is lol. too bad I can't justify spending 60 bucks on it right now

remember these are captured on half screen and 30frps ticked so the ingame graphics are better than you can see on these videos. still dont think they are as good as B3 graphics though.

just a heads up, sadly gpu utilization for our 7970m is present in medal of honor as well. Good old frostbite 2 games ahah (Y)

 

Bummer, BF3 works great with 12.11, is Warfighter worse, or is underutilization mainly show up in multiplayer?

 

no sorry scrap my last post. For me, MOHW is now running great on ultra. 100% usage. fps 45-70!

but usage does drop accordingly when lowering msaa...

Can someone point me in the direction of what underutilization means and does it affect a lot of games when using the 7970?

I'm thinking of getting a m17x r4 with this gc

Is anyone else experiencing crashes with Warfighter and a 7970m? I can't get the game to run on the 7970 without crashing before it even gets to the main menu. I'm running 12.11 beta 6.

 

try all the compatibility modes. other than that, there's nothing much you can do...

 

Thanks, I tried that but couldn't get it running. Ended up switching to 12.10, game works fine now. I'll just switch back to 12.11 when I finish it.

 

Just finished the campaign in 3-4 hours and I can say that it was ok, but not more than that. I kind of expected more from it. The annoying fact was that you didn't have any control of the game. Everything was heavily scripted and there were too many pre-rendered cutscenes.The thing that I've enjoyed most was the Linkin Park song ( big fan ) playing at the end on the credits.
In conclusion, I don't think that next time a MoH game is worth more than 10$ when it's on sale, instead of the payed more than 30$ for the Limited Edition.
