    Just did a fresh install of the game (no expansion, no modding), the game won't start. After I try to run the game, I get a black screen. The game never loads or closes, I have to open up Task Manager to close it. The last 2 lines of the system.log file are:

    When I open up the medieval2.preference text file, I only have these:
