They can handle the game but it also depends on how they are configured and how well you want to play the game. ie: settings and resolution

All have a GMA 950 GPU, and 512 or 1Gb Ram. It will not be very satisfying to play Medieval 2 on these laptops. I think you will get very low framerates during the battles.

Just bought the game today and I get a bit of stutter with settings on high with my notebook. I guess I can see why, the battles are very detailed and realistic.

On your XPS M1710? This makes the A8JS sound less desirable.

Then it will run horribly, hell MII:TW strains my system on medium settings.

Side Note*: The 1.2 patch should be out soon.

Yeah, I've been wondering if my system isn't performing to its fullest. I can put on 2xAA with anisotropic x4, and all other settings on high, but when there gets around 6,000 troops, the game starts to stutter.

Good God 6,000 troops? You're performing fine if you can get up that high and just start to stutter.

Aren't number of troops which computor can handle without stutter is limitation in the CPU power, not GPU so much?

Alright, that was an exaggeration. Around 4-5 thousand troops, I'm probably getting 10 or 11 fps . Also, it seems like I lag a lot when there is a wall siege, but I think that has something to do with the game.

If that system has a GMA 950 then no.

MII:TW is an intensive game, for best results get a notebook with at least a 7400/x1400 in it preferably a 7600/X1600/7700/X1700.

I can't read those specifications at all, but in general, I wouldn't recommend playing M2 on anything less than an X1600 (128bit bus version just to be sure).

@dvmp41: Okay, yea it seems you're underperforming considering your system specs. Are you running on a clean install of Windows or the original Dell install?

physics is more depent on ur CPU. so u alexejrm is correct. the movement would have to do with how the formation would move and if a group gets hit with lets say a big rock or something it would affect ur cpu. cpu also controls ur AI. but u would be limited by ur gpu as well cause ur gpu would have to render all of the characters. sorry i kinda went all over the place with that one.

Best Buy carries the Asus G1 which can do so.

As for anything else they may carry I do not think so.

It appears the patch has been delayed due to a crash error. :(
