    I have an Acer 5674 with a x1600 video card. When I play America's Army and other games, parts of the screen get pixelated and pink/blue/green/red. I tried the stock drivers, 6.11, and 7.1 and it happens on all of them.

    hmmm... That thing always happened to me in Css and Gmod. Funny problems, I had them on the 6.12 (i think)

    I cant remeber the settings exactly, but try using different settings for Cat. Control Center. like try best performance setting, then best quality, then balanced, and see if that fixes it. Again, I cant remember what settings i put the things to, but it worked.

    Btw, when ever i would see those things, it would indicate a crash coming up. Would your games crash when you saw those?

    edit

    I can also remeber this happening to the fonts in HL2 : E1. That game literally killed my pc.

    Looks like your video card is over heating.

    And I can see NHC OSD FPS in your right upper corner of the a picture (39). Did you overclock or anything in NHC? Just an idea. It looks like some OC artifact (probably bulletholes texture in the wall got scrambled). It can be a memory OC, overheating or bad video memory. If you do OC, go to the default speeds, and try turning of NHC and see what happens.

    Cheers,

    Ivan

    I am OCing, but I used driver cleaner pro and installed the drivers that came with my laptop and everything is good now. I don't think that those are from the overclocking. Also, what is NHC? I am using ATT.

    NHC = Notebook Hardware Control:

    As posted, the artifacting may be due to overclocking. Reset your clocks to default and see how that goes. If it works fine when you do that, then you had the memory clocks too high when you overclocked. Turn them down.

    I'm almost positive its from the drivers because after I put the drivers on that came with my laptop, I can overclock without any artifacts.

    Hm interesting. ATT you say? I meant ATT, but wrote down NHC - sorry, although NHC can also overclock ATi cards. Some drivers are not good for OC then. See what benches you get with the originals and if you are satisfied and all games run well - keep them.

    Cheers,

    Ivan

    I'm not happy with the drivers I have right now because I get significantly less fps, but it's better than having my video messed up. I'm going to try out the 6.9 drivers to see if it happens. Also, how can I tell what driver version I have right now?
