For reference, here are the requirements for Ground Zeroes.

    • MINIMUM:
      • OS: Windows Vista SP2 x64, Windows 7 x64, Windows 8 x64 (64-bit OS Required)
      • Processor: Core i5-4460 (3.20GHz) or better *Quad-Core or better
      • Memory: 4 GB RAM
      • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2GB) or better (DirectX 11 graphics card required)
      • DirectX: Version 11
      • Hard Drive: 4 GB available space
      • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

    • RECOMMENDED:
      • OS: Windows 7 x64, Windows 8 x64 (64-bit OS Required)
      • Processor: Core i7-4790 (3.60GHz) or better *Quad-Core or better
      • Memory: 4 GB RAM
      • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (DirectX 11 graphics card required)
      • DirectX: Version 11
      • Hard Drive: 4 GB available space
      • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Surround Sound 5.1)
Only differences are Hard Drive space, OS (for minimum; no more Vista support), and RAM (for recommended).
At least the requirements are as high compared to some recent games.

MGS GZ ran like a dream even though my pc was below the min spec. Even now I'm surprised how well that game runs on my nearly 6yo hp pavillion and I also think we can expect similar results for this one.

Yeah GZ ran really good, though I still have yet to really play it :D Can't wait for this to come out, though it seems Konami is going down the drain.

For Ground Zeroes when I was just using a 750 Ti I was able to play everything except two settings at their highest detail level on 1920x1200 resolution. Now using a GTX970 able to play everything at highest detail.

I got 100% of the Steam achievements for Ground Zeroes (which I think is 91% of the game completion)... say what you will about them charging $20.00 (give or take depending on sales), but it got about 40 hours or more of entertainment out of it given that you can complete the main mission and side ops in under 5 hours.

As much as Konami had bad timing on their re-organization, it's kind of a historic moment. The last of the Kojima Metal Gear game and the last AAA game from Konami (unless they really change their minds about gambling and mobile games). Despite this won't keep me from pre-ordering... I want it pre-loaded and ready to go come Sept. 1, could care less about the pre-order bonuses.

if kojima doesn't pen the story the it's not canon.

Currently in the process of playing through the side ops missions and completing them without killing anyone and getting a-s rank. I did not even start the main campaign in GZ yet haha my kids unlocked the side ops for me. MGS is on of the truest franchises I have ever played and for giving us a honorable pc port with all the features as timely as possible I will gladly support that. I really hope the multiplayer is cross platform but even still the single player alone is well worth it. I'm kinda glad they delayed the online game on consoles and pc as it will give some time to enjoy and experience the actual campaign. Games like cod or uncharted people usually skip the campaign and rush into the mp.

Don't worry this one here is a kojima game and he has been involved with this from the start even with the Konami split. It must have some fun hidden stuff related to that buried in also. Like I said before few game franchises have had such incredible success and the story on every game has been top notch.

i really hate how konami have dealt with this by essentially acting like a child and deleting his name from the marketing material.

I think this is part of their agreement after disbanding the team. His budget for MGSV + GZ was very high for a game, and might be connected to how Konami mistreats their employees.

What is the mobile gpu equivalent of the recommended 760?, I have a gtx970m notebook and I was wondering what kind of performance should I expect from this.

Nvidia is running a promotion, people who buy 970m or higher will get MGSV Phantom Pain for free. This promo is for a limited time only. http://www.geforce.com/GetMGS

I'm hoping that my next pc will be released soon enough so that I could get this one free. I think its a great value I'm also sure the campaign mode alone will be worth it but this game will also have online modes which will increase the replay value even more.

    All right thread bump*

This game is getting stellar reviews all across the boards ! I knew this one would be cool Every mgs game has been a great ride. Release date is set for tomorrow sept 1st I like that they even made the release same time as consoles. Al I need is 3d tv support and I hope that will happen but thats small stuff. The game looks really polished and its been that way since the first one.

Reviews: Video reviews will be uploaded Sept 1st but you can read the written for now
