Bought. I've been putting it off for a long time, becaue of my previous GTX 260M not having enough GPU power, and it's not the kind of game I wanted to run on medium or less.

Now is the perfect time, with my new Clevo coming in on Monday.

Good game. I haven't beat it (or played it all that much) but it IS fun. I've just been distracted from it.

Should I get this? I know almost nothing about the game beyond that it's the Crysis of 2010/2011.

For $5, I know I have nothing to really do this summer. So I've been hoarding all the $5 online games :p

At least my 6950(70) should be able to kick the crap out of it.

It's a fun game, for sure. I got a free copy when a friend of mine got it with a pre-order of Homefront, but he already had the game so I got his extra copy.

On maximum settings, it looks beautiful and can bring a powerful computer to its knees, but it still looks and performs great if you compromise the settings a little. I have no trouble running it on medium to high settings on a Phenom II x4 @4GHz and a GTS 250.

Guys, can I just buy this game now then download it next time? Will it still be downloadable? or is there any limit?

No limit as you can activate it on steam right away as soon as you get the serial number.

I have an i7 920 @ 3.4 ghz, 4890 with mild OC and maxing this game out brought me to around 20 fps which was a bit choppy but playable.

I was running 4890s in both the machines in my sig up until about a month ago. Still a perfectly fine card, though it shows its age at the higher resolutions. I just couldn't bring myself to pass up the unlockable 6950s before they all disappeared.

Actually I bought it already just now but I'm just gonna download it in couple of months when I get my new laptop. Don't want to waste it on this laptop. Better save it for the best.

So will it be fine if I just download it next few months? Or is there anything I should do to ensure that it'll be fine to use it on new laptop?

You should be fine but activate it on steam. I will upgrade to 6950s and unlock them eventually (or was it the 6850s :S i gotta read up some more :p)

So, I should just get the Serial Key from GamersGate and then just activate it at Steam? Hehe. Sorry, I'm kinda new to Steam, heard about it before but never even bother to get it. Haha.

With Steam you can download all your games anytime, anywhere, as many times as you want, on any machine. If you activate it on Steam it will be tied to your Steam account ready to download whenever.
