Why does Metro 2033 only use CPU 0 and at 80%? I'm playing very high at 1366x768.
Besides, only uses 200MB of RAM too.

    Could some one please explain?

That's odd. I thought Metro 2033 at least had the multi-threading. And even then, it should be more taxing on your GPU than CPU. Doing a quick search, can't find anything to explain your situation.

    Thanks for the reply!
I think it's odd too, because looking at the fact that the optimum requirements require a i7 CPU, and I have a i7 720QM, it should use everything I
    got ( I think if it used everything, I would have a freaking 30FPS boost :D )

those are about what you can expect out of your GPU.

Nothing is wrong, the GPU is possibly being a bottleneck which is causing low CPU usage.

isnt it better to go medium settings for smoother gameplay? or would the game look like crap?

Hmmm, weird. Crysis has a right CPU and GPU usage...
BTW, should I OC it to 700/900 from the 650/800 stock? Will I have a noticeable difference? Can it overheat? I noticed your GPU is OC'd.

In very High settings, I don't notice the lag due to Motion Blur.

The game is still nice in medium. It was hard to see big difference between the graphic quality settings atleast to my eyes

I think the only thing this game has going for it is the way it looks. just play it at 5fps and easy theres no strategy to it. just a lot of bad russian voice acting and a some cool looking doom levels.

You should ignore the drivel being spouted here. Metro 2033 is a great game with a really great story (book is better though). The game is one of my top games (up there with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) especially after the update which added Ranger Mode which patched out all the console hand holding, and turned it into a real survival game. I have played through 4 times now and I loved it every time, even reading the book now.

Not sure what is wrong with your install though, I run at max on my laptop and it runs fantastic.

Of course, but it scales well and looks almost as good in DX9 (I had to use that for my first time playing due to complications). Made a mistake in my post too, after playing Metro 2033 after the patch I started reading the book again. Can't wait for Metro 2034. :D
