    Micro stutter in games and ssd

    Hi, I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to write this in game section or ssd.. Anyways. I ve been getting micro stutter in games (modern warfare 3) and have been thinking could my crucial m4 sad be causing the problem? Anyways to fix it? My specs are i7 2630qm 8th ram and 6970m 2gb.

    It could be a number of things: temps, driver issue, or ssd. Post some more info in regards to it (temps [idle/load], what driver, etc.)

    Currently Im using the 11.10 driver. temp Gpu when idle is 45-50C on load its about 80-85C cpu when idle is 40 C when load its about 65C.

    Did you have any problems with the previous gpu drivers or did it start after going to 11.10?

    I don't think it's driver related as I reverted it to the previous driver and the problem still persists. I ve been reading the ssd section, it seems that the crucial m4 is known for micro stutters....... Any other suggestions?

    If you have old firmware on your M4, it can cause the entire Operating System to freeze every now and then. Make sure you have the latest firmware or anything beyond the default one.

    I don't think that is necessarily related to what you describe because those freezes would have happened everywhere, not just in gaming.
