    HI,

Ive been triing to play lock on on my old laptop (Pentium IV 2,8 ghz, intel 82852) and both games suffer from minimal, microscopic, weird lags or stops, even when they are running at 40-60fps!!!!

it happens also with my new laptop (core duo, 2ghz, 7600) its with most games, specially simulators.

    anything to solve this problem?

Make sure nothing is accessing your HDD while playing.

    Update Drivers.

    Get more RAM.

    Optimize Pagefile

It sounds like something is accessing the hard drive, check you havent got a anti virus doing something random. Are you playing over a network, cos cheap network hubs/routers have the same effect

Defrag, defrag and defrag. Defragging can be the easiest solution for such problems. So just defrag a few times (5-6 times) and update all your drivers. Should solve the problem
