    Microsoft FSX

    just a few issues i have with this.
    1. Why does it every so often kick my joystick so i cant fly properly and
    2. Why doesn't it allow me to add files that i want to add. A few have worked when i am putting in new planes and helicopters but when i add just repaints and textures there is no difference. Am i doing something wrong? I'm putting them into the SimObjects file in the fsx directory.

    Can you please explain your problems a bit more in depth.

    Also have you tried installing FSX Service Pack 1 which was recently released?

    ok, every so often the joystick stops working and it means me having to reboot the game to get it working again.
    When i add new files they dont show up at all!
    Gonna go look for sp1 now

    Yeah, download and install SP1 for FSX and tell us if it fixed anything.

    have downloaded and installed the service pack for fsx and the problem with the joystick has been fixed. I found out that i have to add the addons into the aircraft.cfg file as well so that is sorted also. Have found that with the sp the game runs sooo much faster also.

    got everything set to high except from the aircraft which is ultra high! Screen res is at 1680x1050. got the anti aliasing set to bilinear. I'm happy enough with it!
