They're not going anywhere. Filing Chapter 11 just means they need more time to pay off their debts through restructuring and changing their business models.

yeah but thats alot of dough i dont think they can pay that back....
-
They havent made a good game in a long time.. they have been riding these strung out MK games that are downright awful... good riddance, close the door behind you.

i wonder whos gonna pick up mortal kombat?
I can already hear EA knocking..... -
Knocking?
They slept over last night for a slumber party discussing the deals... -
Honestly I stopped caring for Mortal Kombat after the second one, but it'll be sad to see Midway go; they were responsible for some of the best arcade games (Joust, Defender, Cruisin' series, Galaga/Galaxian, Hydro Thunder, San Franciso Rush series, etc.).
-
The MK games have sucked since they started slowing down the action. The old games were fast, like Tekken, but these new ones take like 4 seconds to land 2 attacks, it's like a bad wrestling game.. they're terrible.

midway sucks....the MKs for genesis and psx were ok, but then the MK series just got gay...and every game midway made, i hated
-
don't forget nba jam

Sumner Redstone sold a $30m stake in the company for $100k? Holy cow!

HYDRO THUNDER! I loved that arcade game, always played it at the local movie theater..
-

thats EA for you always jumping in bed with another company.
NBA Jam was awesome the problem was that at the end of its life Midway was milking the series. -
they'll be forgotten in about a year or two
