Minecraft is having a special buy one get one free on all purchases this weekend! In other terms, if you purchase a code this weekend, you get a free code that you can give to me! xD

Just thought that people would be happy to know about this.

I had never seen a sale for minecraft until today. Plus I really wanted the game and it was only 20 dollars.

It's not really a sale, more like a buy one get one free coupon.
God, if only I had a credit card I would buy this game in a heartbeat

I know this is the wrong section and offtopic but I did not want to create a new thread so: Is a prepaid visa card considered a Visa type credit card? I was just looking at accepted payment options and only saw Visa.

I wonder how they make money off of the card however.
It seems like you only pay for the amount you want on the card.

I always use prepaid visa gift cards for my steam purchases... so I don't splurge on everything I see in the suggested games section, they work great, only problem I have ever had was because I didn't enter my zip code for the card to work

About how they make money, $50 visa gift card costs $54.95, $25 gift card costs $ 27 and change. The package says how much the purchase fee is

There is usually a cost for the card, anywhere from $3 to $10. I think most are like $5.95.

Also Visa makes money hand over fist because they get 2-3% of the total amount of everything charged. It's ridiculous, but the cost of doing business.

Wait so Notch's getting a wife?

I recall distinctly in one of his interviews earlier this year he said he has always been a loner with the opposite gender. Money changes everything eh?

It seems expensive however for a game that's still in beta and unfinished even with the 25% discount

Isn't it 15% off because it's still in beta?

    A sale within a sale?

The game still seems overpriced however especially since its still in beta.
I don't know, its probably just me since most people are buying the game like hot cakes.

By the way, you just lost THE GAME

You could get a MoneyPak, they allow you to deposit funds to a paypal account and purchase minecraft that way as well.

Impossible, MineCraft is linked to my account, and the last time I logged in was a couple hours ago. I could download it anywhere and play because it does not have a physical copy. The only way I could lose the game would be to lose my account. Which I haven't.

Heh. With regard to the gold-digger comments - if I'm not mistaken, Notch and his wife were engaged somewhere around... 2009.
