I had the same problem as you. Try installing the latest PhysX drivers from here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.0010_whql.html
After I ran that update falling glass no longer created a slide show.

Did you get the update via steam or did you just download it from somewhere?

1.01, 181.22 and 9.09.0010 feature fixes for the Mirror's Edge freeze/crash issue. I would suspect if you have all those you won't have any crash issues. I'm using DOX 181.22 release and downloaded the physX separate along with the first patch and haven't had any crash issues on my notebook or desktop. Great game!

I'm running 179.28 beta drivers, PhysX 9.09, not sure which version of the game. Is there a way to tell which version you're running in steam? I still get crashes running on my 9600M GT.

I have a problem with the cut-scenes in the game when running on Windows 7... what happens is there is no sound during those scenes but in actual gameplay sound does come up. I know W7 is still in beta, but is there a workaround for this?

Side note: I have all the graphics maxed out but the PhysX engine option needed to be turned off since the game becomes unplayable when oodles of glass starts shattering. Does that one patch improve performance with PhysX enabled?

For those of you running ME on 8600/9600s, what drivers are you using?
