Oh yes my notebook should smash though this game with no problem.

...for all of five hours, cuz that's how long it takes to finish the game (mind you, it's been done in about an hour, i've heard).

Those are some realistic minimum specs. I'm pleased to see it's not Vista-only.
Mirror's Edge is no doubt a great game and is quite different from the typical FPS. The replay value of this game is not particularly high, though. Also, there's no multiplayer. And as noted, it's short. If you have an Xbox 360, I suggest getting it for that instead since you can sell it back and get a decent amount of money. -

Mirrors edge is great fun on ps3

Leaderboards will keep people gaming for a long while.. unless the game gets spoiled by a time-pausing trainer..

ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
yeah it seemed okay but 5hours? thats way too short
-
The length of the storyline is meaningless, the game is designed to stand on the time trial mode for longevity.
I spent 5 hours playing a single level on the 360 demo, story length isn't something that worries me. :x -
Crysis took me 5 hours, F.E.A.R took me 5 hours , COD series took me in the range of 5 hours for each, its normal for the SP. the games mentioned had Multiplayer to keep people going, and Mirror's Edge got the time trial
Whats bothering me is that its release date is way too far. -
Sounds great, thanks OP.
I'll be getting this -
A little more detail:
The cards listed as the minimum are the GeForce 6800 GS 256MB /
ATI Radeon HD 2600 256MB. -
I've played the game on the xbox360, it's pretty fun, looks like it would have very little replay value since most of it is pretty linear despite the open world look of it. In any case, I'd still buy it, but I just need to know one thing, what's the DRM in place? If it uses securom, no matter how lenient they claim it'll be, I won't buy. Even if it's only 5 hours long, that's worth $50 to me, comparing that to other forms of entertainment these days makes it seem less pricy. Also I'm sure I'd take alot longer on it since I like to actually take the time to enjoy it rather than just aiming to beat it like reviewers do.
-
I wonder how it will look on my 8600GT...
And yeah, DRM sucks. If only they named that properly, that you're not buying the game, you're loaning it for, say, $5 per install, I would loan it. But spending $50 for something you can throw away after one use IS expensive. -

physx VS no Physx comparison
some sound like.. yes physx is awesome, but some sounds like bull, i mean the Glass NEVER breaks with Physx off? you've got to be kidding me
EDIT: you know what? i personally dont carethey are just a couple of scenes where physx shines.
