First you have to know that upgrading a notebook VGA card is almost impossible. First make sure you have a dedicated replaceable card, If you have a MXM card then you might be able to find a better card. But for proprietary standards (i.e: DELL/HP) you have to do some research first, and find out of it there are any better compatible cards out there. you cant just buy a VGA card and plug in like in desktops.

most graphics cards are made by ODM's like hannstar, quanta, Flextronic, Foxconn and Galaxy. Good luck contacting any of them, i highly doubt you will get a response back.

The 9800mGTX will most likely be in very high end 15" and some of the gaming 17" systems.

The np5793 wont be able to use it. The np5796, 7 can.
User upgradeable means nothing really, just that its a MXM card.

I wouldn't bother with the money either. The 9800M GTX shows ~5-10% difference in performance with the 9800M GTS. It really isn't worth the price of upgrading and you won't see anything substantial by the upgrade.

the gtx is priced too high they need to drop the price by a couple hundred dollars.
