I am having the graphic card of ATI Radeon HD 5850 in my computer with the window XP in it. When I am playing the came like Counter Strike then I am facing with the problem of the temperature of my card.I usually play games on my pc and have notice certain temperature on it. At the time of Ideal its 64-64c and for the Counter Strike the Source is 71 73C which is high. So I want to know is it fine to play the games on this temperature.
I will be saying you to rise up the cooling fan on the card. You should check what is the speed of fan when it running and is ideal. In my computer the fan runs at 31% when the graphic card is idle and the temperature stays at 50c and the fan speed should goes to 60% . You should make a notice that the card is not making any sound in the CPU.

@MSIfanboy I use sapphire trixx and recommend that one. Works wonders and has 4 profiles you can save for you stock settings, and 3 oc settings.

@Oxford4 those temps are fine for the graphics card, as for the game they sound high. You could try to dust out your computer using compressed air.

71-73C is not bad at all nor are they high.

Normally I wouldn't say its high, but for counter strike i would say its high. When playing bf3 with a 800/1100 oc i hit 75c. That's why I said 71-73c for CS is high.

Could just be the kind of laptop he has. Might not have the cooling power like the M15x. Dono though since he didn't post his laptop, but judging by his name I would assume it's an MSI :p.
