High res WMV files now seem to play horribly after the new driver. Can anyone else with a 5650 and the new driver confirm this?

I downloaded the HD WMV new Diablo III class trailer here and the video is a huge choppy mess. :(

I need the information circled in red. You get this in device manager, properties of your graphic card, details, hardware id.

I've been having the same problem, the installer reports that it installed correctly but upon inspection none of the driver numbers have changed and Catalyst still says 10.8 (driver version 8.762). Vendor is 1002, Device ID is 9480. I'm not sure why this is happens, I've never had this problem before. [Edit: If this is because of Sony, I'm going to be angry. It worked before when I got them from Guru3D.]

    "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650" = ati2mtag_M9x, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9480
is included in the inf file.
What's the name of file you downloaded? It should be 10-10_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc.exe

shows a second download that does not contain the video driver for mobile cards.

Does anybody else have problems with brightness key not working? Adjusting the brightness via energy profile works instead... Acer Aspire 3820TG

I was using "10-10_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe", is it possible that the OpenCL isn't supported on the M4650? Well anyway I tried the installer you suggested, and it worked. Thank you :)

The inf file of "10-10_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe" contains only entries for the desktop Radeons. It's only for those!

I have MLAA working along with Surface Format Optimization it looks incredible. This is the only decent AA solution I have ever seen that works for mobile gaming. It's incredible, 1920*1080 in Starcraft II with Ultra settings and what looks like 4X MSAA. Works with Gothic 4 also!

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

You have to disable the driver enforcement junk by pressing F8 or using Driver Enforcer Overrider or ReadDriverPlus.

Hopefully some people in the driver mod community will find a way to get around the driver enforcement junk at a later point.

MLAA really is amazing though, it really is just a few FPS less when using it.

I dont like MLAA on SC2 it blurs all the text on the menu's and things.

I prefer sharp crisp graphics even if it means a few jaggies (witch I never really noticed in SC2 anyways)

No WMV playback issues here. Try to reinstall the driver. use ccleaner to clean the registry before install the new version.

Am getting OpenGL crashes at startup in games such as Quake 2 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Six months and five driver revisions later, and this problem still isn't fixed.

    "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5600/5700 Series" = ati2mtag_Manhattan, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_ 68C1

is included in the inf file.
Did you download the right file? The name should be
    10-10_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc.exe

10-10_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe doesn't contain entries for Radeon mobility cards.

this has probably been said before, but I was again able to install these drivers over the old ones, without uninstalling (10.x --> 10.x)

Finally they seem to have fixed the driver update process.

OpenGL crashes? Do you have, by any chance, Triple buffering enabled in the CCC? I found that some games crash with that setting, mainly Amnesia.
