Any body know where to get a CF cable for the Mobility 3870's? Does anyone know if newer cables for the 5870's etc. are compatible with the 3870's?

Ask mxm-upgrade, they may have it.

Have you tried running it without the cable? I know it works for Nvidia cards (SLI) as long as there's enough bandwith on the PCI bus.

Checked, waiting for a response. I'm pretty sure you can't, especially since its in an Alienware M9750 with an SLI chipset.
