Ive looked up reviews of the HD 3450 card, but I'm fairly certain that the reviews are based off of the card with the older chipset, meaning that they dont use any hybrid crossfire, and its the card working alone. I'm wondering if anyone knows the performance of it working in crossfire with the HD 3200 IGP, or if anyone has reviewed a laptop with it

    Nope.. none atm.
It should have the power near to a 8600M gs when hybrid cf is on.

Well with desktop one you get 700more marks in 3DMark06 (around 2300ish) with hybrid crossfire

The HD 3400 is that bad? Or is it just because you have the 64bit bus one?

It depends. I've read some score off notebookcheck. The mobility scored around 2000. A 50% boost would mean it will score 3000 marks. But this is 3dmark that we're talking, it might flux within 500marks. But 2300 is still impressive. A 8400m gs only hav half of it's power.

Is 1280x1024 standard for 3dmark06? I thought it was 1024x768.

It is indeed 1280x1024. Trouble is most people on NBR cannot attain that resolution without an external monitor, hence our wild variations in 3DMark scores.

Since HP doesen't support Hybrid Crossfire in their current laptop range, what laptop producers do?

Having looked up the competition it seems that Acer's TM5530G (thinkpad) does, but I think that their earlier notebooks have been a bit shaky... Maybe this one is different though.

I suppose we will have to wait and see when people start benching their new Puma systems.
