    Heres a working link :]

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Mobility-Radeon-X800.2156.0.html

    This should work.
Check the benchmark list at the side, its pretty high up the list.
Impressions anyone? Reckon it'll fit in a 15.4 thats smaller than a m15x?
I heard that ati use the smaller RV670 die for these cards which is smaller than nvidias?
    Maybe it'll fit in a m1530 though i doubt it? :]
    That'll be the day...

that link is for the mobility x800xt

The HD3870 still lacks benchmarks and stats.

Yeah i know but check the list to the side on the link. You'll find it just below the 8700m gt sli. The x800xt link is the only link that shows it up on the benchmarks list. It doesnt have any benchmarks yet but i just thought id post it because its being included on the list now...
I think its being aimed as a competitor to the 8800m gts.

Notebookcheck is about as reliable for stats as a piece of cheese. We don't know the configurations of the compared laptops, so it's not fair.

Agree with Crimsonman, notebookcheck is worthless.

The listing for the 7950GTX (my card) puts it between the 8800m GTX and GTS. If only that was true.....

    Mate,

I've always wondered... is your card way much faster than a Geforce 8600m GT w/GDDR3 ???

    Cheers.

that website feeds false information. The 8400M GS suddenly has more marks than the 8400M GT?

The 7950GTX is some 30% faster than the 8600M GT, in some cases even more.
OCed I hit 6200, just by OCing the GPU to 625/820 .
I`d say pretty impressive in 1280x1024.
Still, no match for even a 8800M GTS, which hits stock 7500, or 8000.

In general, yes, it's faster. IMO, 3Dmark 06 is more of a shader benchmark than a general performance one one. The 7950 kills the 8600 in fill rate and memory bandwidth---by roughly 2X in both.

I think we will eventually see the Mobility Radeon HD3870 in 15.4 inch laptops and maybe even smaller. Just my opinion, but I think eventually we will see some 13.3 and 14.1 inch laptops with 9600GT and Mobility Radeon HD3870 that are somewhat underclocked compared to their desktop brethen in them. Now that would be real gaming portability !!! God Bless :)
