I was wondering why blue ray won’t play with LV2go drivers with a modded inf.

Just found out that when the inf. is modded the MS WHQL Certificate breaks or something like that.
And that's why blue ray movies won't play with this drivers. … I’m not an computer expert but that’s what I found out somewhere on the net.
1: Does someone here know a workaround or something like that so that you can watch blue ray's and play games with the performance this modded drivers have?
2: And with a modded inf. is just the setup.exe modded that it’s compatible with GeForce Go cards or also the performance of the driver?

Possible workaround... just guessing cause I’m not an expert :

In my case I have two 9800m GT in SLI… the 9800m GT looks a lot like the desktop 8800 GT.
If I choose to install the original driver without the modded inf. and choose in the install process the 8800 GT (which is very similar to the 9800m GT) the MS WHQL Certificate is still intact and I can play blue ray’s.
3: Is this safe to do or would this harm my GPU?

4: Why doesn’t Nvidia support Go mobile cards??? I think you also pay for support when you buy legal stuff.

At this moment I'm switching drivers to watch blue ray's and switch back to play games but this is a bit annoying and a lot of work just to watch a movie on the road.

Ps: Sorry if my English isn’t that perfect.

The desktop driver will not install on your laptop because the standard inf does not support mobile cards. Although what you have is similar to a certain desktop card, it still has a mobile designation and it wont install. Personally if blueray is important then sacrificing a few FPS and some synthetic benchmark points may be not so bad. Unless your factory drivers were as bad as mine were for my dell.

    Thanks for the reply.
The difference in games between the stock 176.02 driver and the 177.92/98 are very noticeable.
I'll stick with the LV2go for gaming and stock for watching movies... switching drivers is beginning to be a habit.
I'm getting use to it
