Well... BF3 ofcourse, but MW3 looks promising.

Still, it won't be better than BF3 ;)

LOL! Describes XBOX kids very well :p

    @laptopfan88

    Actually, not quiet ;)

It is IW 3 engine ( IMHO, unless they made IW 5.0 using 3.0 traces ). There is one pic, that shows the exact same texture quality from Black Ops. Same with shadows, the overall image quality... Very BO-y.

Let's hope they actually OPTIMIZED the engine this time.

This is a true statement, Frostbite 2 looks yummy, i hope gameplay is just as diverse and amazing as the engine....

I remember reading not too long ago that activision bashed FB2 engine and said they could pull off visuals just as good as BF3, that said they'll be like EA's sports franchises and change very little to keep their pockets padded.

Yep, when I saw Josh Olin saying "FB2 is a very good engine but our engine is very modable, actually, it can be better than FB2 and top it."

I couldn't stop laughing for like 5 minutes xD

This point of view is from a pc gamer, but Activision is looking at console players as their main market, because.... well it pays off. So DX9 support continues, also they've turned CoD into Madden Football, a game a year, little difference, HUGE income. They will do minimal effort and change to save money and continue to have the same outcome.

I'm just glad they're making MW3 so all the annoying little kids on both consoles and PC stay off BF3.... Keeping Battlefield to a much more mature audience makes playng bfbc2 for example a more realistic/tactical experience. I don't know about you guys but, playing hardcore on COD games and getting shot by ur own Team by some dumb little kid eeffin around is a major FAIL in my opinion...

I might buy MW3 though, because I never refuse myself to fun ( :p ), but I will still be mainly playing BF3, due to much much higher quality.

Activision and their Call of Duty Franchise represents everything wrong with the video game industry. The fact that people still purchase their games and it continues to smash sales record furthers my belief that the human race is quickly de-evolving and is in serious need of the re-institution of natural selection.

But yes, this game is a necessary evil to keep the inferiors away from BF3.

Absolutely hope they optimised the engine. Black ops was soo broken on this... I think I only clocked like 20 hours in black ops mp total, and almost half of that was trying to stop those random fps drops that occur at random places...

It's not just the video game industry. :p I don't suppose you've read Benjamin Barber's Jihad vs. McWorld? (The gist of it is that McWorld, the amorphous capitalist entity which always gives consumers what they want, will always prevail.)

I'll probably be picking up both games myself, but frankly, I didn't expect MW3 until next year. I'm hoping Activision chooses to reveal more details soon. But what are the chances of that?

I really enjoyed COD Modern Warfare, it was an epic game with an epic story and fun multiplayer. Then of course came MW2 and with it the epic, no dedicated server mess, poor story line, and same old boring gameplay. Pretty much nothing's changed since then for the COD series.

I'm not trying to sound like a COD basher, because I'm really not, I enjoyed COD MW, just everything since then with the COD name has been rehashed crap.

CoD 2 and 4 were my favorites. CoD5 was pretty fun MP wise for me. But yeah.. I'll play MW3 for sure but just for the SP. I don't like the MP much anymore.

Damn, time for another CoD. Even though i have several hundred hours in black ops and even more in the others, i still think that they should take a year more to develop something... well better. And i dont wanna see any more one man army noobtube dangerclose *looking at you IW*... but i seriously think that IW can make a great game if they dont it up with some unbalanced stuff, and actually put out some patches...

CoD will continue to be big as long as people buy the game because "their friends have it." The audience they target are adolescents and young adults, which is a huge audience in the gaming world compared to Battlefield's more mature audience. Until people realize that CoD is somewhat rehashed every time, and more people go to Battlefield, there will be no snowball affect for Battefield and people will continue to buy CoD because everyone else is buying it. I can say that Black Ops was a complete waste of money and should've been an expansion pack.

    People like you are hilarious.

"OH NO EVERYONE LIKES THE GAME SO IT SUCKS!"

Really. Popular opinion is not always a bad thing. Just because its the best selling franchise, doesn't mean there is no quality in the titles. I thought MW2 was great, but in hindsight it was very sloppy in comparison to Black Ops. Developer support was also fantastic with Black Ops. Glitches lasted months in MW2. Don't tell me that isn't progress. Sure the core gameplay was similar, but of course they kept it like that. CoD multiplayer is tight, responsive, and fast paced. Why change whats good?

BF3 does also look amazing. Why can't there be more than one amazing game in a genre?

Also, what's this junk about people who play BF being more "mature"? Please post the census that this information came from.

Yep, IGN leaked a AUS poster 2 days ago :)

I won't fall easily this time. I will first watch USER PC gameplay ( not XBOX try-hards ), and THEN decide whether it's worth or not. I already got 2 CODs. MW2 and BO. Ain't gonna make the same mistake. ;)

If it is like Black Ops or MW2, then no. If like COD4, then yes. :)

EA is planning a multi-million dollar marketing blitz for BF3. BF3 is a make or break for DICE that they have been working on for years, probably far longer than the now non-original IW team have been working on MW3.

Today's IW isn't the same one that made the legitimately award winning MW.

Yep, EA is spending 100 million dollars in marketing...

Kinda stupid though, they should have used those 100mil into the game dev itself...
