    Modern Warfare 2 - Game pauses intermittently and frequently

    Ok, so I finally buy Modern Warfare 2. I got it in the mail today. I get a chance to install and play it.

    Well, when I start the game, there's no way to change the graphics resolution right away. I did find it in a cfg file.

    Either way, I can't even really get started because the darn game keeps pausing intermittently, as in completely stop mouse action and everything every several seconds or so.

    I've rebooted, closed all unnecessary applications and processes, and updated to the latest graphics drivers. I even made sure I had the latest directx installed. What the heck could be causing this?
