Ok, I am on the DMZ, so I know I have no issues port wise, but ever since the Steam downtime on the weekend, I cannot join some parties or join ANY games, NONE.

I get booted or I lag in the games I get into, I just dont understand it. I have re-installed Steam and MW2 unblocked on my firewall, etc etc, anyone else experienceing this?

I've been playing all weekend, seems fine.

Are you on cable or dsl? Have you tried the usual remedies of restarting the modem & router?

Also, since you are able to get onto some games and lagged, have you done a recent internet speed test to see what kind of speeds you are getting?

With cable and dsl, your speeds can vary alot depending on peak times and such. A local station provider and routing loop outside of your control could also be having problems.

Also, what is your ping test coming out to? I know your on DMZ, but did you also try port forwarding the steam client/server ports specifically?

IWnet is garbage, that's what's wrong. When I'm playing with friends, 90% of the time it kicks at least one of us before or during the game. I randomly get disconnected, and when I can finally get into a game 1/2 the time it's so laggy it's unplayable. MW2 was a good game, but it's hosted by a garbage company that is too lazy to make dedicated servers.

10 megabit Cable, we are over our cap hardcore, that may be the issue, I believe it is actually. Just odd it started right after the Steam blackout.

I dont want to start a new thread if i can on the same game, and i don't want to but in here, so sorry.

How can i increase the colour in the game, without making my desktop and videos more colourful as well, I have an ATI card.

    Thanks.

I believe if you make a profile in CCC, and activate it everytime you play the game, you can accomplish this.

For example I have profiles for my idle desktop, MW2, DOW II, each with specific clocks and fan speeds. If you include the color option in your MW2 profile it should do the trick. Just make sure you have one for your idle desktop as well so the color is not changed on there as well.
