    once again the pc version get delayed :mad:

    edit: The story seems to have come from the official Activision games release schedule (this states the release dates for all their games). It shows PC version of MW2 coming on the 24th.

    I wouldn't mind the delay if it was by itself, but coupled with the fact that it will cost the same amount as the console versions and with the PC version not getting the collector's editions, when COD was a PC franchise, the previous games got collector's editions, etc. All those together make me wonder why their even releasing it for the PC in the first place. All these multiple slaps in the face at once. Why don't you put some very invasive DRM on it while your at it!?

    Those developers that started out on the PC are really putting it on the backburner now such as Epic not releasing Gears of War 2 (though its at least partially Microsoft's fault), waiting for the next console generation to release the next Unreal Engine, ID software prioritizing on consoles, etc :(

    Indeed. For example, look at Dragon Age: Origins -- the PC version of that game has been ready for months (there are even reviews available online), but they've held it back to assure a simultaneous release with the XBox version and won't be releasing it until November. 2 weeks is nothing.

    I'm not sure why everyone is whining about the $59.99 price tag for the PC when walmart has it for $49.82 + Free $10.00 gift card making the game essentially for $39.82

    I would like if they at least release a statement as to why, however lame it would be, such as Ubisoft stating they wouldn't give the PC version of Prince of Persia the "Epilouge" DLC the console versions received due to "business reasons", that's all they said!

    I'd like to know Activision's reason.

    No kidding, it's two weeks, besides it is probably just to add more the the PC version. Same as was done to Batman: AA. PC is always worth the wait, same as FAILBox is always worth skipping. XD

    Not cool. I still haven't pre-ordered a copy, hopefully i'll remember before i spend the money. Now I'll have to hear my friends talking about how great it is, and how they already beat it, and whatnot.     Good, I am glad about the delay. Gives me more time to get a gaming laptop. This is one of the games I want to get on release so I can learn with everyone else, and not come in 6 months later and get owned because everyone memorized the maps and exploits.

    Activision does not hate pc gamers.. Activision is a business and has to do what is best for Activision and its shareholders (e.g. me) - chances are they have a good reason to delay the PC release, whether it be to give the console versions time to soak up sales and then hope for duplicate buyers who aren't patient to just wait for the pc version or what not.

    Whats the big deal anyway, its a reletively minor delay, unlike Blizzards delay of Starcraft 2....... grr.

    why are comparing this to sc2 and d3? those games are pc exclusive. mw2 is coming out the same time for the consoles but delayed for the pc because their afraid of the pirating issue. also mw2 is basically a multiplayer game. sure theres a single player campagin but most people only play the multiplayer component. if you pirate the game, you can't get ranked servers or anything and there won't be much servers also, and few they do have will be full of hackers cause they have to issue of getting banned cd keys.

    activision did it cause of "piracy" which will backfire. i have no faith in them to add anything to the pc version in the time they delay it. at least blizzard is delaying starcraft to make it better.
