I don't agree. What made MW so great was the single player campaign. I never played a lick of multiplayer and never will. But I'm a bit miffed at its delay if it is true, but will survive.

thats nice, but alot of people do get it for the single player as well. i wouldnt buy it if it was only multiplayer - tf2 and css are better.

Yeah me too, most of the people i play with ( my cod4 team) played multiplayer for several days before ever starting the singleplayer. Cod series has always been about multiplayer, and i think most people realize this.

by the way, CoD4:MW had stellar, critically acclaimed single player and online experiences.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with multiplayer, but they wouldn't have gone through the painstaking task to make it the top notch single player experience that it is if it wasn't a significant part of the game. Otherwise they'd just go BF2 style.

Myself and many other friends of mine that play these types of games have barely touched multiplayer. To say it's all about multiplayer is being a bit overzealous.

There is nothing special about CoD multiplayer at all IMHO. It has been the epic single player campaigns. CoD 4 was the absolute best, albeit short, but awesome nevertheless. Multiplayer was nothing but a spawn killing fragfest.

You should probably play something besides FFA or TDM. The problem with COD4 is that it had that terrible hardcore crap, this basically split the community and caused the game to die sooner than expected (competitively, of course).

I'm not saying its not fun to rank up in MP, but this game really did shine after promod was released, and much like other cod series game, this one will still be played 5 years from now.

I'm sorry but wingnut I believe you are wrong. With a younger crowd, the Multiplayer was alwaysthe way to go, and the longevity of the game is solely based on the online experience, period.

I guess I'll have to revisit MP. I am always looking for something to best my BF2 experience, but haven't found it yet. I was hoping ArmA 2 or Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising was it. So far ArmA 2 is NOT even close, and haven't given Dragon Rising a try yet.

Sucks that the PC version is delayed. I bet someone had found a way to hack it or copy it.
