    I have a free 160GB PS3 Uncharted bundle arriving Tuesday! :)

But I will likely get MW2 for the 360 as well. Simply because the majority of multi-console ported games generally perform better on the 360 according to the various review sites.

Anyone getting MW2 Limited Ed. with the nightvision goggles?

Are you kidding me, of course PC version. Much better graphics, much cheaper to buy, free DLC (probably but in any other case it will be cheaper than PS3 or XBOX), better gameplay (my opinion), better support (again my opinion).
PC is the way to go

That laptop should be more than enough to handle MW2. I would get it for that rather than PS3. For the record, I'm getting it for the Dell in my sig, and I own a 360.

In my opinion there's no difference in graphics between a PS3 and a computer. I see no difference when I play GTA IV both on my PC and my PS3, so I would say you should get MW2 for your Playstation 3 because it simply gives you a better feeling when playing. Games should be played on a big screen with high definition and a PS3 of course!

I cant believe no one has stated the most important aspect of the PC .... the FAR superior mouse + keyboard over the controller. That and you can compete on the pc.

I still don't get why people think a mouse is superior over a controller. I'm competent with both, no complaints at all. It's just a simple case of l2p.

As for the 360 games being better than the PS3. We've had really bad proof from self called aficionados who think they're experts because they can tell difference between two images.

The reason you would buy the 360 version is because of a more massive community. Not a better community, but a bigger one.

I on the other hand would buy the PS3 version because I don't have a 360, and don't really want one (well maybe for Froza 3).

The PC version is great and all, and I wouldn't have any issues if I played on my M17x, but I just stopped buying PC games. I can't race on a PC at all, so it's strictly for RTS and RTS-like games/some random games here and there.

    or better yet, a wheel.

anyway, my vote is the PC. the graphics will be better, the frame rate higher, and you get more precise control with the mouse.

i also submit that these are all objective and quantifiable. it's not an opinion.

I admit, if the ps3 or xbox360 had mouse capabilities, I would of bought one long ago, the mouse lets and keyboard has speed and precision that a console lacks, and for me, that is the enjoyment in gaming.

For the console. Online play I believe is much faster and easier than PC versions. I own the 360 version and the PC version, and I say it's MUCH easier playing with a controller.

There is a learning curve with the PC, but there is a heck of a lot more customization you can have. You and entire keyboard that can be setup anyway you like.

Me, I have my left hand control all my movements, while my right hand holds a mouse with 9 buttons and performs all my combat. Not to mention macros that you can make, and I love being able to type in the game, instead of solely relying on my mic, and than being forced to listen to little kids scream out profanities every time they die. I use ventrillo for voice communications, and that can be monitored a lot better.

CoD4 on the PC is very fast paced and addicting. Way more than on 360 that is, but to each his own. I will be getting this for the PC no doubt.

Depending on how good your pc is, most games will look better on pc nowadays, since you can set much higher resolutions and other visual improvements. Most games e.g. on PS3 are 720p, which is not enough for huge tv screens.

And as if 720p are not bad enough, Modern Warfare 1 and 2 run actually only at 600p on xbox and ps3, so that you can count all the pixels by yourself on a big lcd tv.

Actually I believe the xbox360 and ps3 only output games at 720p, not 600p. I have never read anything about it being output at 600p.

The minimal ouput through hdmi on the PS3 and Xbox360 is 720p, but a few games actually run on sub HD resolutions, however are upscaled (stretched) to 720p through the PS3 and in case you have a full hd tv, upscaled either by PS3 or TV again to 1080p.

PC. Do you really want to play a shooter on PS3? Well, most FPS fans prefer on PC.

    Also, WARNING for you preorders.

Yes, walmart offers cheaper + gift card for PC version. BUT* see when you will actually get this game. Estimated arrival is Nov 19-21. It's released on 10th. If you can wait for ~2 weeks, go ahead. It's cheaper. For a lot of people, you have others who want to play ASAP. Amazon offers release date delivery, gamestop offers in store pickup on the release day, etc. I'm not sure about Newegg, but they shipped Aion earlier than its release date.

I canceled my order from Walmart. Probably going to spend 10 more dollars and get it on the release date.

Um, what's with all these generalizations. If most FPS fans prefer the PC then why do the console versions of CoD4 and 5 sell so many copies?

Also the patches are free and the communities are cruddy everywhere.

No one said it was better, I just pointed out that if more FPS fans prefer the PC then how come the console versions sell more? A fraction of them are FPS fans, and I would bet that they make up 3/4 of the sales.

But, just like myself, you have no proof that most FPS fans prefer the PC.

The day is gone where the controller sucks for a FPS game. Many have adapted and mastered.

Definitely PC, sub-par console graphics and clunky clumsy controllers are not for me. Even if I have a PS3 by then I wouldn't get it. FPS just don't feel right on consoles. If the question was for FAILBox, well nothing feels right on a FAILBox. XD

    Alien:

That's because those people can't play it on their PC well enough to enjoy it. If they have a console and can work better than their PC, then that's when they buy it for the console.

FPS is better on PC- Graphically, game play wise... nearly everything, given that you have a good enough computer for it to run smoothly.

PC > Console for shooter. Except Halo maybe? :S

    Well... that's not true...

There are more PCs than consoles... without a doubt. It's a question of whether people have the PC to play it well or not.

I think you meant that there are more people with consoles than those with gaming PCs to play recent games well.

Alright. So... how is possible that there are more consoles than PCs in the world? PC is for anyone (including the gamers) to use for variety of things. Console is for gaming.

I don't know about Africa, but for the rest of the world... I think what I said is true.

OF COURSE I MEANT THAT. you think everyone that has a pc is a gamer? no, of course not. and im sry if you were confused, but usually when u talk about games on a pc, ur talking about the gamers that play them...not everyone in the world that has a pc. =)

My biggest key ideas to decide:

xbox360 (need to pay a year fee if want to play online, worst option.

ps3 runs smoothly and got fun with your larger tv. free to use online. Not everyone has a ps3 to play with it, so the community are less than pc. New maps cost $.

Pc depends on your machine, could run smootlhy, you could connect it also to your tv if has the option, the pc community is larger. You could use the computer for another uses too. Maps are free. Pc option has everything to go if you have a good machine to play with it.

Okay, not everything is free and not everything is paid for. Everyone gets their fair share of the freebies (i.e. the Joker DLC for Batman: Arkham Asylum or the Call of Duty 4 map packs on the PC).

To end the community debate, 360 has the largest install base, no denying it. It has everyone from your hardcore gamers to the baby boomers.

The PC has become more and more specialized over the years. Look at this thread, not one of the people is your casual gamer. We're all above that level, and the fact that we spend money every year on a graphics card, or CPU, to play games, shows that.
