Modern warfare 3 unlock problem.

Hi,
I ve purchased a copy from gameplanet uk and have pre-loaded the game.
However it should be released by now.. but steam still claims that it is no released. I am in japan and that may have something to do with it, but i had not problem activating the code or pre loading. can any one help?

what is the unlock time on the steam store page for your area?

 

Have you tried quitting Steam and restarting Steam again?

 

unlock time for uk is 7am so 90 minutes ago.
the problem could be because you bought the game from the uk but are trying to activate it in Japan.

Tried restarting steam, no luck.
I think its because I bought it from gameplanet uk.
When I looked on their site they said that it will unlock at 9:00am GMT.
So will try in couple of minute. It maybe that it is treated as a retail copy rather than steam store copy...

 

The game still has about 5 and a half hours before it's unlocked.

 

??? how come. if it was released in stores at midnight and suposedly went live via steam at 7am in the uk so thought it would be released earlier in the states

 

I checked the us steam and it says 5 Hours.
I tried it after 9am like gameplanet suggested still no luck
but it must be available in japan as if it was not i would not be able to preload it!

 

pre load has been available since friday for pc.
still waiting to hear from someone in the uk as it was defo 7am release.
they must all be playing as its quiet on here.
im at work so will have to wait until this evening to play

if i hear any more news ill post but im limited to 1 hour a day internet through hospital network.

Problem solved, unlocked at the same time as US steam

 

Wasn´t the unlock delayed because of the thousands of copies robbed in France?

 

I am not sure if that is related but its could be... I dont really know. But its unlocked now so its cool

 

Hi, Im also from japan and was wondering if steam would allow me to view the modern warfare 3 page since when I try to visit it it tells me that it is unavailable on my region, Im planning to buy a copy at amazon for the game and just scared that steam might prevent me from playing the game.

it might be worth sending steam tech support an email as im not sure why its been blocked in your country.
i know their forum has been down for 48 hours due to a hack but i cant see it being to do with that.

 

The Japanese version hasn't been released yet.
