Did a search on NBR, but couldn't find anything related to Monkey Island, nor the new Deathspank game coming soon.
for all you young ones out there, the Monkey Island episodes was an old game in the early 90's were you played a character by the name of Guybrush Throopwood.... I mean Threepwood, a wanna be pirate. Great humorous game were you had to solve puzzles, insult pirates, and save (or be saved) a damsel in distress from the mighty dread pirate Lechuck
One of the creators of that game, Ron Gilbert, has finally got around to designing a new episodic game called Deathspank.

Sounds great!
About 2 months ago, I downloaded and played the original first 2 monkey island games and really enjoyed them. -
The Monkey Island series was awesome!
I'm still trying to understand if this "Deathspank" game will continue Guybrush's story or its a new story.
EDIT: just to answer myself: "Players will follow the thong-tastic adventures of a misguided hero named DeathSpank, a character that first appeared on Gilbert's Grumpy Gamer web site in a series of animated comics." -
Great, i loved Monkey Island back in the day... Really looking into this
