after instaling the trial edition and playing for a while, i bought the full version and it will not installed. the trial edition is uninstalled but it said a few things were left behind, but i thought ok it shouldnt matter so i tried to install it and no luck. 3 times all with about 100 errors. then i deleted the WoW temp folder and tried installing again and this time it only had one error, but still it would not install. any ideas?

how about you delete the WoW from the harddrive by opening up your program files in your hard drive and completely delete the WoW? And then you try installing. Are you using windows xp or vista?

im using vista, and i already deleted the wow temp folder, isnt that the main thing?

The real question is, why did you uninstall the trial version in the first place? All you had to do was input your key online at the account management page and viola - the "trail" install becomes the full thing. Which, I believe, was plastered all over the place while you were installing the trial, and in the readme, and in the retail box...
But I suppose that's academic now. What Ghost_Recon is saying is go to C:\Program Files\ and the delete the World of WarCraft folder altogether. That is not the same as the temporary files folder. -
ok when i changed the AUT key i tried playing again on the trial install but i was still capped at level 20 and couldnt get any xp.

so no one has any ideas?

try cleaning out your registry using Ccleaner first. www.ccleaner.com

does anyone know if the 14 day trial edition has the restrictions built in it?
More WoW issues, Yay!!
